Travel to Army Heritage Center Foundation:

The Foundation office is at 950 Soldiers Drive, Carlisle, Pennsylvnia 17013 and is located in the Army Heritage and Education Center.

Automobile Travel:

Carlisle is at the intersection of three major highways: Interstate 81, the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) and U.S. Rt. 11. Please see the following detailed driving instructions for routes from those thoroughfares to USAHEC/USAMHI.

Air:

The nearest commercial airport is Harrisburg International Airport (HIA), located south of Harrisburg adjacent to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76). It is approximately 28 miles from Carlisle.

Other public transportation:

Carlisle is served by a local bus line (Capital Area Transit, CAT). There is no public transportation within Carlisle or to/from HIA. Taxis are available for local use. Amtrak trains share the Harrisburg terminal with Greyhound and CAT. That terminal is 19 miles from Carlisle Barracks.

Detailed driving instructions

From the Southwest:

Drive North on Interstate 81 to Exit 48 (York Road). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right. Continue to stoplight and turn left onto Fairview Street. Proceed to next stoplight and continue straight ahead onto Army Heritage Drive. You will cross over Interstate 81. USAHEC/USAMHI is located on the left hand side of the road. If you proceed to the railroad tracks, you have gone too far.

From the South and Southeast:

Drive towards Frederick, MD. Drive North on U.S. 15 to Dillsburg, PA. Go Northwest on PA 74 for approx 9.5 miles toward Carlisle. Just before Interstate 81, turn right onto Fairview Road. Proceed to stoplight and continue straight ahead onto Army Heritage Drive. You will cross over Interstate 81. USAHEC/USAMHI is located on the left hand side of the road. If you proceed to the railroad tracks, you have gone too far.

From the Northeast and North:

Go southwest on Interstate 81 to Exit 49. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Trindle Road. At next stoplight, turn left onto Army Heritage Drive. You will cross over Interstate 81. USAHEC/USAMHI is located on the left hand side of the road. If you proceed to the railroad tracks, you have gone too far.

From the East or West:

From the PA Turnpike take Exit 226 to Rt. 11 South. Continue on Rt. 11 South to the second traffic light, where Sheetz and Turkey Hill convenience stores are located. At this traffic light, turn left onto Harmony Hall Road. Take next right onto Claremont Road. Take first left onto Army Heritage Drive. Continue over the railroad tracks, USAHEC/USAMHI is located on the right hand side of the road. If you proceed to the stoplight, you have gone too far
