School-to-Career Program/Cooperative Education ProgramJunior or Senior year High School students interested in pursuing studies leading to careers in history related fields serve a semester internship/apprenticeship with the Foundation. Students are given the opportunity to explore potential careers and gain skills that will enable them to become successful working citizens. During the semester, the students enhance their educational experience by incorporating an experiential component into their academic curriculum. Students interested in applying for the high school internship are encouraged to contact the Foundation’s Education Department to discuss opportunities available. You need JavaScript enabled to view it High School Senior ProjectsMany school districts require high school students to pursue an internship outside the class room that will provide insight to possible career channels or to give back to the community. The Senior Project is a unique opportunity for students to explore fields that interest them and to experience work and volunteer environments. The program encourages students to stretch their abilities and to apply their skills and knowledge in new ways. Senior projects blend traditional core and performance-based skills in a rigorous exit program. High School students in their Junior or Senior years are encouraged to contact the Foundation’s Education Department to explore focused and engaging projects to fulfill the high school requirement.
