The Army Heritage Center Foundation announces the launch of a completely redesigned website. Grants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the U.S. Department of Education funded the website upgrades. The redesigned website improves the Foundation’s ability to market the Army Heritage and Education Center, to reach out to a national audience to support efforts to raise additional funds for the Army Heritage and Education Center’s (AHEC) public facilities, opens an e-commerce site for AHEC specific projects, and enhances the Foundation’s ability to provide teachers and students access to educational products. The new website can be found at www.armyheritage.org.
In addition to the e-commerce platform, VQC Designs also implemented a complete content management system which will allow the Army Heritage Center Foundation to easily make daily changes, updates and revisions to the site without advanced technical knowledge. Educational materials showcased on the website will include Soldier’s stories—personal accounts of our nation’s history from the men and women who served our country. This section, designed by professional historians, certified teachers, and college and high school age students, provides teachers and students free access to primary source educational materials. The Educational portion of the website will be a continuing project and will change regularly as more content is added.
VQC Designs also provides complete hosting and support services to the Army Heritage Center Foundation.
